What We Believe
“Endowing Community Support for the Arts Through the Education of its Children”
Programs

CREATES provides opportunities for children to explore their potential in music through a partnership with the Barthelmes Conservatory. Advanced study with professional musicians in the local public school is offered to children who might never have the chance for musical instruction.
Project Creates is a 501(c)3 educational nonprofit organization operating in the Tulsa Public Schools since 2000, providing educational reform and transformation through the arts for schools of need in Tulsa.
Learn MoreThe Approach
Arts infused curriculum places the arts within every subject. Our research shows that learning by singing, dancing, drumming or drawing deepens understanding, increases retention and creates a joyful learning environment for teachers as well as students.
Project CREATES brings the best of Tulsa’s professional artists to work directly with teachers in the classroom to teach every subject. Teachers and artists are supported by coaches who have experience in both education and the arts.
Project CREATES has changed many students’ lives, giving them an outlet to express themselves. Arts infused curriculum is a tool that enables children to make sense of and to navigate this complex world.

We are proud members and supporters of the National Guild for Community Arts Education and its mission to make the arts available to all members of the community.
